It's tough to find a dive resort with the high quality of standards as Anse Chastanet. The list of honors is quite long, including being on the Top 25 Caribbean Hotels in 2004, 2005, 2006 (Readers Choice Awards, Travel & Leisure Magazine), The Gold List from Conde Naste Traveler for the same years, and Best Small, Best Romantic and Best Resort With A View from Caribbean Travel & Life Magazine. This 600 acre resort is a lush garden of tropical foliage and nearly mountain top with spectacular views of the Gros and Petit Pitons. The food is phenomenal and service exceptional. Hike, bike, kayak, windsurf or sail the beautiful bay of Anse Chastanet, it's all there. For the rooms, no two rooms are exactly alike and you have several to choose from. Scuba St. Lucia is on site and is a SSI Platinum Pro and PADI dive facility.
Please Note: There are approximately 100 stairs leading from
beach level to mid-hillside level, thus making the property unsuitable
for those with walking difficulties or cardiac problems. This is never
a question of age. A complimentary shuttle service from beachside to
hillside level is provided any time it is requested.
Premium
Hillside Rooms: These rooms offer picture postcard perfect views of the Piton mountains and the
surrounding sea by virtue of their very elevated and strategic
location. Some Premium rooms have fourth wall missing. King size bed,
clay tiles, ceiling fans, shower. Extremely spacious (1200-1400 sq ft)
. Available on request only.
Deluxe Hillside : These are
extremely spacious and individually designed. Some rooms have a formal
separation between bedroom and living room, others are wide open
spaces flowing into each other. King size bed, clay tiles or tropical
hardwood floor, ceiling fan, private shower/wc, very spacious, new
hillside deluxe rooms are very openly built, some with the fourth wall
missing entirely or with dramatic open roof dormers. New hillside
deluxe rooms have ocean views. Original hillside deluxe rooms are
enclosed and have wooden louvred doors and windows and a separate
sitting room / patio area. Original hillside deluxe rooms have ocean
and Piton mountain views.
Deluxe Beachside : All beachside rooms are deluxe
category rooms. Beachside Deluxe rooms are very spacious rooms set
amidst a tropical garden near the beach. King size or Kingsize plus
one Double or Single bedding, clay tiles, wooden louvered windows,
ceiling fan, private shower/wc, ceiling fan, balconies or patios,
spaciously built, some with open roof dormers. Rooms have garden
view.
Superior Hillside :
Superior rooms are located on the hillside and are octagonal
or rectangular in shape. Twin beds or king size bed, clay tiles or
tropical hardwood floors, private shower/wc, ceiling fan, glass or
wooden louvred windows, Piton and/or ocean views, wrap around
balconies.

JADE MOUNTAIN
& SCUBA ST. LUCIA
Jade Mountain is a resort within a resort at Anse Chastanet. It's like Anse Chastanet on steroids. Expect
grand sweeping spaces, with your sleeping and living areas and an
extravagantly sized infinity edge pool - one in each suite!- flowing
into one another to form an amazing floating platform with the 4th wall
missing entirely - the result being a stage-like setting from which to
embrace the full glory of St. Lucia's twin Pitons and the shimmering
Caribbean Sea - a view you are not likely to ever forget. Jade Mountain has its own restaurant and bar, or you can go down the hill to the restaurants and bars at Anse Chastanet. Diving is with Scuba St. Lucia, right on the beach at Anse Chastanet.
You have 3 room types to consider, all have 15' high ceilings but other than that each one is unique. All have 1 king bed and unique, large bathrooms.
Star Infinity Pool Sanctuaries: These are large rooms, 1400 - 1800 sq ft with the pool 450 sq ft.
Moon Infinity Pool Sanctuaries: These are slightly larger at 1600 - 1950 sq ft with the pool 650 sq ft.
Sun Infinity Pool: 270 degree panoramic view with over 2000 sq ft, pools are up to 900 sq ft
The infinity pools are up to 900 square feet in
size. The combination of additional square footage and amazing
panorama makes these sanctuaries the most desirable for all those
seeking the ultimate experience.
All sanctuaries have the 4th wall open
to the views. All other aspects, layout and size vary from sanctuary to sanctuary.
In addition to locally made fine tropical wood furniture an eclectic
collection of furniture has been placed in the sanctuaries giving each
one of them their own individualistic ambiance.
The living areas of the rooms are finished with more than 20 different
species of tropical hardwood flooring and trims harvested in an
environmentally correct way. Jade Mountain's technicians actually
visited the Rain Forest of Guyana and personally chose which trees to
be used. A multitude of hardwoods has been used including Purpleheart,
Greenheart, Locust, Kabukali, Snakewood, Bloodwood, Etikburabali,
Futukbali, Taurino, Mora and Cabbage Wood.
The interior walls are finished in a crushed blush toned coral plaster
quarried in Barbados. The exterior is in massive rough concrete and
imbued with locally quarried stone, with all the window openings
framed with massive 3 x 18 inch tropical wood mullions and muntins
which are in-filled with movable jalousie louvres. The flooring
exposed to the weather is finished in quarried coral tile from
neighboring islands.
In addition to the 24 infinity pool sanctuaries at Jade Mountain,
there are 5 Sky jacuzzi suites. The Sky suites are located in the
lower hillside level of Jade Mountain. While the SKY suites do not
have an infinity pool they are part of Jade Mountain and guests will
enjoy all of the Jade Mountain privileges. The SKY suites are
very spacious suites of about 1650 square feet, with the 4th wall
open, yet completely private, to maximize the amazing view experience
of the Pitons and the ocean. Sky suites feature a two
level room lay out, with large and comfortable living space and open
bath design, with a raised Jacuzzi tub towering above living space and
also open to view.
All infinity pool sanctuaries and the sky suites have king size beds.
In room facilities include fridge, tea/coffee maker, hair dryer, iron
and ironing board ( a member of housekeeping will gladly perform the
chore for you). All infinity pool sanctuaries and the sky suites
have an electronic call button to contact the service team at any
time. There are no television, radio or telephone in the infinity pool
sanctuaries and sky suites in keeping with the overall resort
experience. Guests are asked to refrain from using their cell phones
in public, and keep them on vibrate setting whilst on property.
Internet access is available at the Jade Mountain reception- guest may
bring their own lap tops or use the dedicated guest computers.
Telephone services, fax, business services are all available at the
reception. Excursions, car rental, jewelry, surprises, romantic
private dinners .... all can be arranged by the Jade Mountain
concierge.
